What to do if you fail the N3 JLPT?

What to do if you fail the N3 JLPT?

Picture: What happens if you fail the N3 JLPT test?

1. Don't take it personally, it is a hard test, remember there is no test guide just vague outlines on kanji, grammar, vocabulary, reading & listening.

2. Re-assess your study goals and keep going. You have come this far so don't stop, failing is not the end of the world, its just a learning point that's all. Positive thing is you got feedback on your knowledge that not even a teacher can give you.All because you sat under test conditions with no dictionary!

3. Review your areas of weakness, for example, listening, reading or vocabulary and grammar and up grade your study resources. We have always suggested on this blog that you should be studying for level 2 and in that way you will be ready for N3.

4. Start your new study schedule tomorrow don't put it off, if you delay you will stop studying & that is a big waste. Yes, Japanese is difficult, complex and time consuming but not impossible so you have a chance to master it. Take it slowly, small steps will help you get to your goal.

5. Review your study notes for the test  and look for new resources to help you fill the gaps, maybe sentence patterns, grammar, kanji or vocabulary or you need more listening practice. All you need to do is to buy the resources and make a new study plan and start studying

6. Don't give up!
